We all love running with Kev! He has a tremendous depth of running knowledge and it’s application to all distances from 800m on the track to Ultra-marathon events. He has a great knack of keeping his runners safe from overload and subsequent injury yet still enabling them to progress their particular running goals. He is specific with his tailored programs and despite the 6am start, his Tuesday track sessions are my favourite session of the week. There is a broad range of ages and abilities in attendance. During these speed sessions, Kev is a great motivator. He is an outstanding coach and his gentle manner and quiet encouragement helps runners achieve their full potential. – Tessa Hinds

I’ve never been involved in group fitness before but I’ve been doing this for 6 months and I’ve barely missed a session. Why? It’s mostly because of Kev and the program he sets – all levels of fitness and tweaked to allow for varied levels of fitness, any hamstrings we are nursing, and being a bit past our peak.  He coaches with a mix of brilliant encouragement, understanding and pushing us to push ourselves.  I’ve never felt better.  Remember “squats are good for humans” – Simon Martin

I have been training with Kev for 18 months, he has helped me with my technique, speed and endurance. It has been fun training with the kids group because we do sprints, throwing activities, endurance and warm up drills and games. Kev helps us be the best we can be; he has improved me a lot. – Will Orchard (11 yrs old)

Thanks Kev for bringing perspective to why and how I should be running. Through my involvement with Run for Body and Soul I’ve learnt to maximise my training efforts and gain a better understanding of running economy. The Tuesday track sessions have been invaluable. Above all else you have brought together a wonderful group of people and regardless of our ability you make us all feel like champions. – Matt Thomas

I have been coached by Kev since the start of 2017 and the difference it has made to my running has been amazing. I attend the Track session every Tuesday morning and have found that the speed work and enjoyment I get out of that group session has helped me hugely to achieve my goals. The specific trail programs that Kev has put together for me has given me the best preparation and confidence for whatever distance I have tackled from a 5km to a 100 mile race. The positive and supportive culture that Kev has created amongst the group makes the training and racing even more special. – Simon Neale

I’ve been under the strict tutelage of Kev from Run for Body and Soul for about the last 6 months.  His fitness sessions are a fun, yet painful mix of running, core, strength and boxing which always sees me walking home exhausted with arms I struggle lifting above my head.  In this time I’ve seen my 5km PB drop by 2 mins and definition on muscles I wasn’t aware existed.  Just beware, he can’t count – 30 more seconds is never 30 seconds!!  Thanks Kev! – Josh Lewis

As regular 10-15 km runners and at the age of 50+, Malcolm and I decided to run a once in a lifetime marathon. Enter Coach Kev; with a personalised programme and amazing support, we completed the NY Marathon with tears, gratitude and then champagne. Five marathons later and a PB of 3hrs 51mins, we still can’t believe what we have achieved, thanks to Kev. – Janine Heeps and Malcolm Thomas

We do everything for our kids, it’s time to do something for yourself. I have been loving the fitness sessions with Kev. A great mix of cardio, core and strength work. It’s great that Kev can lead the group by example and can physically push us because he is incredibly fit and strong himself. He hasn’t just studied PT or bought a franchise, Kev lives to be fit and that rubs off onto all of us. – Mike Rochow, fit dad of 13 & 11 year old fit kids

Run for Body and Soul’s kids’ sessions at Glenhuntly Athletics Club have been fantastic. The sessions provide a fun environment for kids of all ages to learn how to run properly and improve their fitness. I coach basketball at Melbourne Tigers and we have used Run for Body and Soul to help my players improve both their fitness and sprinting skills. Best of all the kids really enjoy it and a number of my players now take part in this program weekly. I would recommend Run for Body and Soul without hesitation. What I like best about this program is it is focused on improving kids running for sports like basketball, it is for all abilities not just elite sprinters. Kevin, many thanks for helping my team get better. – John Middleton

I have been coached by Kevin Mannix for just over 18 months now. While I’ve always loved my running, I definitely believe I am stronger, smarter and a more well rounded runner since coming under Kev’s guidance. With several recent 100 km+ events I could not have been better prepared. Kev’s attention to detail, extensive knowledge and individualized programs – plus his support and encouragement, has seen me go from strength to strength. If you have a goal in mind, whether it be 10km, 50km or beyond I would highly recommend Kevin Mannix of Run for Body and Soul. – Bec Howe

Whilst I do not profess to be a super runner I have been attending the Run for Body and Soul track sessions at Moorabbin for the last 4 years with Kevin Mannix. These sessions are fantastic with many like minded people enjoying well structured track sessions in a very relaxed and non competitive environment. Kevin has a wonderful way of getting the best out of you and helping people achieve their personal goals. – Matt O’Hara

Kev helped me smash through my 10k and 5k plateaus and now it feels like I can set a personal best almost every race I enter. – Erik Froese
